Disabling iCloud backup
If you and your organization are under SHOEBOX's Mobile Device Management (MDM), disregard this section as the SHOEBOX team has already disabled this on your devices.
If you and your organization plan to use your own MDM, or are not using MDM, you will need to disable iCloud backup for your PureTest apps on all of your SHOEBOX devices. This is a required step to prevent iCloud from backing up sensitive PHI data, which is a process that should only be performed in your SHOEBOX Data Management Portal.
To disable iCloud backup for a specific app on an iPad:
Open the Settings by tapping on the Settings icon
.
In the top-left of the Settings screen, tap your user profile.
Tap iCloud.
Tap Manage Storage.
Tap Backups.
Tap the name of your iPad.
Next to PureTest, tap the toggle switch to disable iCloud backups for PureTest specifically, then tap Delete in the confirmation window.
Use the video guide below to follow along with the steps listed above.
Connecting transducers to a 10th gen+ iPad
If you’re using a 10th generation or higher iPad, the first time you plug in a pair of transducers connected by an Apple DAC, a popup will ask you to confirm the type of device.
From this prompt, you must select Headphones. If you tap Other Device for a pair of transducers, they may not perform as expected. To correct the issue, you will need to follow the steps in our troubleshooting guide.
