Disabling iCloud backup
If you and your organization are under SHOEBOX's Mobile Device Management (MDM), disregard this section as the SHOEBOX team has already disabled this on your devices.
If you and your organization plan to use your own MDM, or are not using MDM, you will need to disable iCloud backup for your SHOEBOX PureTest apps on all of your SHOEBOX devices. This is a required step to prevent iCloud from backing up sensitive PHI data, which is a process that should only be performed by your SHOEBOX Data Management Portal.
To disable iCloud backup for a specific app on an iPad:
- Open the settings by tapping on the Settings icon
. - Tap your user profile in the top left.
- Tap iCloud.
- Tap Manage Storage.
- Tap Backups.
- Tap on the name of your iPad.
- Tap on the toggle switch next to PureTest to disable iCloud backups for PureTest specifically, then tap Delete in the confirmation window.
Use the quick video guide below to follow along with the steps listed above.
