Buying a case for your iPad

You do not require a case or skin for your iPad when using PureTest or QuickTest.

If you want your iPad to have an extra layer of protection against possible drops, scratches, or other damage, we recommend that you purchase cases from Apple's Official Online Store because all the cases available for purchase on this site have undergone rigorous quality testing and will not interfere with your hardware. Take note that cases for older iPad models may not be available on the Apple Store.

Matching a case to your iPad

When selecting a case from Apple's online store, it is critical that you select a case that matches your iPad model. To do this, you need to find your iPad's model number, and match it to it's model name using the tables below.

There are two methods to find your iPad's model number:

1. Look in the fine print on the back of your iPad. You'll see a model number starting with an "A" near your iPad's serial number.

2. Go to your iPad's settings, then go to General > About. Here, you will find your iPad's model number listed under Model. Tap it to reveal your iPad's model number, which should always begin with an "A."
