Automatic triage options are a useful way to assist in the review of your audiogram data. Enabling automatic triage options will allow the Data Management Portal to automatically mark certain patients whose test results require attention.
Void Significantly Incomplete Audiograms: Enabling this automatic triage feature will automatically void any audiograms that do not have recorded thresholds for at least 50% of all configured test frequencies. If an audiogram is marked as void by this rule, no other automatic triage rules are applied to the audiogram.
Referral Audiograms: Enabling this automatic triage feature will automatically mark the required action of audiograms that indicate a need for audiological or medical referral with the Review Results status.
Review after Retest: If a patient in Follow up state gets a retest, their required action will be set to Review Results regardless of the retest outcome.
| Note: When enabled, this rule will disable the Retest Result Triage rules configured in Recordable/Reportable Shift Audiograms (R-STS) and Non-Recordable/Non-Reportable Shift Audiogram Results (STS). |
Recordable/Reportable Shift Audiograms (R-STS): Automatically updates patient data in response to a Recordable/Reportable Significant Threshold Shift (R-STS) detected in an audiogram.
Required action automatic triage options include:
- Triage
- Review Results
- Update Baseline
- Follow-Up
You can also click the Mark for retest checkbox to enable automatic triage to automatically mark any R-STS audiograms for a re-test. You can further configure automatic triage to respond to the results of the re-test, as shown in the image below.
Non-Recordable/Reportable Shift Audiograms (STS): Automatically updates the required action in response to a Non-Recordable/Non-Reportable Significant Threshold Shift (STS) detected in an audiogram.
The automatic triage options are the same as the R-STS options, with the additional ability to use the same settings you used for R-STS, enabled by clicking the "Use same settings as R-STS" checkbox.
Potentially Invalid Audiograms: When an audiogram shows potentially invalid results, the automatic triage will automatically mark the patient for a re-test. Following a retest, if the result is still invalid, the patient's required action will change to Review Results.
