Keeping your QuickTest app up to date ensures the app is supported and you have access to the latest features and optimizations.

Checking your app version
There are two ways to check what version you are running:
1) From within the QuickTest App
- Drag two fingers across your screen from left to right to bring up the passcode input screen.
- Enter your password to access your app's settings.
- Click About.
- Your app's version will be displayed on the right.
2) From the Apple App Store
- Search the App Store for SHOEBOX QuickTest.
- Click on the icon for SHOEBOX QuickTest.
- If the app icon says Update, then you are not running the current version.
- If the app icon says Open, then your system is up to date.
| Note: Do not click on the greyed-out icon for QuickTest Legacy if you are trying to check the version for the current version of QuickTest. |
Updating your app

Using an out-of date app version has the potential to negatively impact the functionality of your QuickTest software. In order to keep your QuickTest app working correctly, it is recommended that you always keep your app up-to-date. Similarly, if you notice your app is encountering frequent errors, updating your app may solve the problem.
To update your app
First, you need to verify what version of iOS/iPadOS (Operating System) is running on your iPad.
- From your iPad's home screen, open your settings by tapping the Settings icon
. - Select General then select About.
- Find Software Version and take note of the version number of iOS/iPadOS that is currently installed on your iPad.
If your iOS/iPadOS version is not compatible, or is out of date, you will need to update to the latest version of iOS/iPadOS before you can proceed. For more information, see how to upgrade iOS/iPadOS on your iPad to the most current version on the Apple support site.
Once you've ensured that your iOS/iPadOS version is compatible with QuickTest, you can now update your app.
- Search the App Store for SHOEBOX.
- Click on the version(s) of the app you are using (in this case, QuickTest).
- If it says Update, then you are not running the current version. Tap on Update to begin downloading the latest version of the app.
- If it says Open, then your system has the most current version of the app installed.
